How Do I Get Nominated?

Spas, retreats, and individual practitioners can be nominated by themselves or by any guest, industry expert, or stakeholder. The nomination process is open to wellness operators of every format, from urban day spas to remote sanctuaries, at no cost.

Describe The Screening Process

Each submission is reviewed by our editorial team for completeness, eligibility, and category fit. Properties that pass screening are advanced to the panel for full evaluation against the framework.

Shortlisting Process

Shortlisted properties are evaluated using the Rasch model, creating a precise, linear scale that allows fair comparison across categories. Properties applying in different regions or formats are scored on a consistent global benchmark.

Evaluation Process

An independent panel of industry experts (including former spa directors, integrative health practitioners, and senior editors of the major wellness titles) assesses each finalist on programmes, practitioners, atmosphere, hospitality, and measurable outcomes.

Announcement of Winners

How do I nominate my spa or wellness retreat for the awards?
You can self-nominate or be nominated by a guest, industry expert, or stakeholder. Complete the nomination form on our website with details of your programmes, practitioners, and guest outcomes. Nominations are open to wellness operators of every format, from urban day spas to remote sanctuaries, at no cost.
No. There is no application fee. Our goal is to recognise outstanding spas and retreats on merit, regardless of size, format, or region. Selected winners may choose optional publicity packages, but participation in those is entirely voluntary.
Finalists are assessed on programmes, practitioners, atmosphere, hospitality, and measurable guest outcomes. An independent panel that includes former spa directors, integrative health practitioners, and senior wellness editors scores each property using the Rasch model, which places every applicant on a consistent global benchmark so properties in different regions and formats are compared fairly.
Any wellness operator or individual practitioner is eligible, from urban day spas and medical clinics to destination and residential retreats. Properties of any size and in any country are welcome, provided there is demonstrable excellence in their programmes and guest results.
Winners receive digital certificates, features in high-profile publications, and promotional write-ups, along with the credibility, press attention, and guest demand that come with independently verified distinction. A physical trophy is available to purchase as an option.
Selection runs in stages: nomination, an eligibility screening, Rasch-model shortlisting, then an in-depth review by our independent panel of former spa directors, integrative health practitioners, and senior wellness editors, and finally the winner announcement. Only spas and retreats that demonstrate genuine, measurable excellence are selected.
The nomination form takes about 10 minutes to complete. Our team acknowledges receipt, and shortlisted properties may be invited to provide supplementary detail, such as programme descriptions, practitioner credentials, and guest outcomes, to support the Rasch evaluation.
