Anthony Zingarelli Receives 2026 Global Recognition Award™

Anthony Zingarelli has been recognized with a 2026 Global Recognition Award in the Innovation category, and the honor reflects practical, field-tested answers to problems in the building and power sectors. He earned it on job sites and inside business operations rather than in research laboratories, and that experience shapes how he handles work that many engineers would pass to specialists.

Building Answers Where Others Decline

Zingarelli founded several building and renewable power companies across the United States, and his work covers design, operations, and new technology. His method is to identify the true objective, question the standard technique, and find a simpler route to the same result. That approach defines his record because it applies equally to a construction site and to a business operation.

He is known for accepting design and building assignments that other firms turn down, and private equity firms with complicated development questions bring him in to evaluate unusual project concepts. His involvement often decides whether a stalled project moves forward, since clients rely on his construction knowledge and his ability to carry difficult concepts through to completion. He also studies new building methods, facility layouts, operational systems, and renewable energy applications on a continuing basis, which lets him treat development as part of running a business rather than a task reserved for specialists.

SolarSocket and the Case for Simpler Design

SolarSocket™ is the clearest illustration of Zingarelli’s method, and it is a residential emergency-power concept now in final testing. The idea began with a plain question about why household electricity during an outage should require a generator, stored fuel, extension cords strung through a house, or an expensive whole-home battery installation. That question exposed how much needless complexity had become routine in the industry, and it set the direction for the design.

SolarSocket responds with exterior solar collection paired with a dedicated backup unit, and the unit feeds a handful of interior outlets sized for essential devices during a blackout. Nothing about it depends on unproven technology, so its value comes from removing the complexity that has kept home backup power unreachable for most households. The concept reflects his view that research and development is a natural extension of designing, building, and operating businesses, and it explains why the panel rated his work well against the Innovation criteria.

Final Words

Zingarelli’s innovation submission scored 5 on each of five measures: novelty and originality, technological advancement, addressing global challenges, adoption rate and user feedback, and disruption of existing paradigms. The panel’s independent review supported that scoring after a detailed examination of his body of work, and the evaluation used the Rasch model, which converts scores into a single linear scale so that a builder can be compared fairly with applicants in entirely different fields. This process confirmed that his habit of turning over complicated tasks into workable products held up across every measured category.

Alex Sterling, spokesperson for Global Recognition Awards, said,  “Anthony Zingarelli’s nomination stood out because his record showed sustained, practical effort rather than a single isolated achievement,” and he added, “Zingarelli doesn’t chase innovation for its own sake. He solves the problem in front of him, and the solution happens to be something the industry hasn’t seen before, which is a rare and valuable trait.” Originality remains the thread connecting his building ventures, his renewable power projects and concepts such as SolarSocket, and change followed as a natural result of fixing specific shortcomings consistently across sectors. That combination of grounded experience and original thinking is why the panel selected Anthony Zingarelli for a 2026 Global Recognition Award in Innovation.
