As a former Cyber & Emerging Technology expert working for the US Government, I coordinated United States policy on cyber offense and defense at the highest levels of government, shaping strategies to protect critical infrastructure, democratic institutions, and national security interests. I led the establishment of the National Security Agency’s Cybersecurity Directorate, building and managing a 4,000+ person organization responsible for defending America’s most sensitive systems. 

During my tenure, I oversaw U.S. government responses to major national cyber incidents, including the SolarWinds and Colonial Pipeline attacks, coordinating whole-of-government efforts involving dozens of agencies and international partners. I founded the Counter Ransomware Initiative, a 70-nation coalition representing the most significant international cyber-cooperation effort in history. 

My leadership extends beyond government; I’ve worked to build bridges between public and private sectors, recognizing that effective cybersecurity requires collaboration across boundaries. My approach emphasizes proactive defense, international cooperation, and building resilient systems rather than solely reactive incident response. With decades of experience, I’ve shaped policies and strategies that define how democratic nations approach cybersecurity challenges in an era of persistent threats from sophisticated adversaries.
