How Do I Get Nominated?

Companies or individuals can be nominated for the awards by themselves or by other industry experts, clients, customers, or any other stakeholders. The nomination process will be open to individuals and businesses from all over the world.

Describe The Screening Process

All nominations undergo an initial screening based on eligibility criteria, including factors such as industry recognition, innovation, leadership, service, sustainability, and social responsibility. This screening is conducted by a panel of industry experts selected for their expertise and impartiality.

Applicants must demonstrate excellence or world-class achievement in areas such as Leadership, Service, Research, Innovation, Teaching, Mentoring or Artistic Accomplishment. Global Recognition Awards uses a grading system from 1 to 5, where 1 is graded as minimal and 5 is graded as exceptional or world-class. These factors, relevant to each category’s industry, form the basis of our Rasch model analysis.

Shortlisting Process

Screened nominations are shortlisted using the Rasch model, a statistical approach that converts ordinal data into interval measures. This method allows for a more objective comparison of applicants across different criteria.

Shortlisted individuals and businesses will be notified and may be asked to provide additional information, including company profiles, achievements, and testimonials. This data will be incorporated into the Rasch model analysis to refine the evaluation.

The Rasch model prioritizes quantitative factors, focusing on measurable data that objectively determines a business’s success. This approach ensures a fair, unbiased, and objective evaluation process.

Evaluation Process

Shortlisted applicants are evaluated using the Rasch model, which creates a linear scale of measurement for each category. This allows for precise comparisons between applicants, even when they excel in different areas.

The evaluation considers both quantitative and qualitative factors, such as:

You can self-nominate or be nominated by a diner, critic, supplier, or industry stakeholder. Simply complete the nomination form on our website with accurate details about your cuisine, service, and operations. Nominations are open to restaurants in every category and every country at no cost.
No. Applications are entirely free. Our independent panel evaluates every nomination on merit, and there are no submission fees, processing fees, or hidden costs at any stage of the process.
Restaurants are assessed on cuisine quality and originality, consistency of service, atmosphere and design, sustainable and ethical sourcing, team culture and training, and measurable contribution to the broader dining scene. Each criterion is scored by an independent expert panel using a structured framework.
Absolutely. Restaurant size, price point, and format play no role in the evaluation. Many of our most acclaimed winners are owner-operated independents, neighbourhood bistros, and casual concepts. What matters is the quality of what comes out of the kitchen and the experience around it.
Winners receive digital certificates, an editorial citation written by our panel, features in high-profile publications, a verified award badge for use in marketing, and the option to purchase trophies and physical recognition assets.
The nomination form takes most restaurants under ten minutes to complete. After submission, evaluation typically takes four to six weeks, after which finalists are notified and winners are announced publicly.
